Christmas DIY : Dried Flower Bauble Vase

Need a quick Christmas DIY? This Dried Flower bauble filled vase is a perfect project. Quite simple and no mess. It can be scaled up and used anywhere that needs a little pizazz!

This bauble filled vase came together SO easily, I’m reluctant to call it a DIY. But I will! Filling vases with baubles is a great way to add impact to your Christmas decorating with minimal effort. I like to fill storm laterns (try TK Maxx) with either my vintage collection or similar colour decorations. Pop them onto a cupboard or counter top with a few fairylights mixed for in for instant festive magic.

For this bauble vase I used a small vase from Dunelm but try your local charity shop for a one off. Using ribbon, this was from VV Rouleux, tie a squishy bow. Then add a small posy of dried flowers to the centre of the bow. I also added a brass bell because I have alot of embelishments around at this time of year! Then fill with small glass baubles. As we’re in evergreen season you could add some fresh green foliage, like holly, pine or ivy instead of dried flowers to the centre of the bow.

There are so many ways you could style this vase. On its own sitting next to candles (be careful of any naked flames). Make a few and run them down a dinner table, or dotted anywhere that needs a bit of sparkle. If you have an area for wrapping or Christmas crafting add your sparkly bit into a vase, use as needed. I cannot wait to show you what I’m going to do with my decorations. That’s if the idea in my heads turns out as I hope.
