The fresh flowers finished in the garden this week which signals a change in season. It’s time to get cosy and crafty. The first DIY project for Christmas are these Air Dry Clay Decorations made for Love Embroidery Magazine.
I actually wrote this tutorial in my tent during the summer holidays when Christmas was just a twinkle. Time has whizzed by since the schools returned and getting ahead with Christmas doesn’t look so crazy now! This is a great tutorial for both adults and children alike. Inspired by traditional Christmas motives with a slight modern twist. The air dry clay keeps the decorations looking rustic but the mix of sequins gives them a little bit of extra sparkle. My children loved them, which is always a compliment. I’ll be adding them to my tree and Christmas gift wrapping as festivities hot up.
