Hello and welcome! I wanted to share some snapshots of the most beautiful and incredible smelling dried summer flower wreath and essential oil candle workshop, I hosted just over a week ago. There is nothing that gives me greater pleasure than opening up my home and hosting workshops. Ever since I discovered blogging many years ago I have always enjoyed sharing my inspiration – workshops give me the freedom to share everything I love and put online. From a super tidy (for me) home to the cakes I bake and all the personal details in between.
For my last few workshops I have been collaborating with Delmeza from Lumi Essence Aromas . Delmeza mixes the most incredible smelling essential oil candles and takes all the attendees through mixing and blending their own custom blended candle complete with dried botanicals. I got to make my own candle during this workshop – I went with sweet orange and rose geranium and it is delicious.
With summer in full swing, I was able to walk everyone around the garden showing how and where I grow all my flowers. I was able to pick straight from the cutting beds pulling sweet cornflowers and gorgeous grasses along with surprising seed pods that look so good mixed in with last years harvest. As usual, I got over excited as the wreaths took shape around the table. Each one completely unique and so reflective of the maker. Every workshop fills me up – the beauty, the joy and most importantly the people make them so special. I can’t wait to host again this weekend and take some time over the summer holidays to plan some new ones for the rest of the year.
