A few weeks ago I ran a new workshop…Spring crafting. I didn’t take a huge amount of photos as I was very in the moment but as you can see it was a really gorgeous morning with six lovely ladies joining me at the table. We made floral topped golden eggs and sweet mini wreaths. I never tire of seeing the creations come to life, there is always a mix of crafting experience but everyone always creates something unique to them and always beautiful.
Behind the scenes I take so much pleasure in prepping the workshop. I love to choose the subtle differences in colour palettes and flower buds making each class its own. There is always the magic point when inhibitions drop and everyone finds their flow and creates mini masterpieces reflecting their personality. I wait in anticipation for that moment, then grab my camera!
I’ve lost track of the amount of workshops I’ve run with last years crop but I’m so proud that we’re still able to make with the majority of my flowers. This years crop is growing well so far – ammi, nigella and strawflowers are looking mighty fine. Sweet peas are already 100% stronger than last year and my poppies are awaiting their final spots. Being able to offer workshops from home with all that I’ve grown is such a dream and as always I’m really thankful to everyone who attends. My little ones head back to school in a few days so I’m looking forward to getting the calendar out and putting some summer workshops in for you all to enjoy – let me know if there is anything you’d like to see.
