I’d like to bring you into my craft room today to share some colourful bud vase styling inspiration. Definitely not a polished idea but a sketch using flowers exploring the use of colourful bud vases working in harmony with the flowers.
I have been focused lately on working with my 2024 brides to finalise ideas for their big day. As well as taking bookings for Baby Showers and other celebrations. Bud vases seem to be a strong theme this year. As a small scale flower grower bud vase projects are great at making the most of a petite harvest whilst showcasing the beauty of each bloom.
I have been working with Talking Tables for many years. If you are looking for a quick fix their selection of colourful vases is great. I use them often especially in initial wedding consultations.
If you have longer to prepare for an occasion I would love to send you off on a treasure hunt. Charity shops, boot sales, antique centres and good old Ebay make fantastic hunting grounds for gathering unusual vases. I would always advise to either keep tones similar or have a running colour to make everything talk to each other.
When it comes to flowers, I love the idea of using a really tight colour palette such as all feverfew daisies or simple white cosmos when the season allows. On the other hand, I really love these flowers that tie in with the colours of the vases. So many ideas!!!
If you would like to discuss your celebration flowers with me, please do get in touch. I am based in Leigh-on-Sea and provide flowers locally and around Essex for weddings. Whilst we are talking of experiments, I have joined Substack to give you a sneak peak of what happens beyond the flowers.
