June brought so many wonderful opportunities for me to grow my flower business. I had never considered funeral flowers before, like buses, two enquiries came my way in the space of a few days. Whilst the sustainable mechanics were the same, the style for each was different and I’m so proud to share these photos with you today.
These flowers were the first I created with a brief for a traditional style that could be left on the burial site to fully decompose. I went with the last of my beautiful foxgloves and blooming roses on long wild stems in rich colours of pinks and purples. These colours came with an in joke for the family – I’m so glad I could offer a little light relief to the occasion.
I delivered them to the funeral directors on the morning of the funeral which in itself was a really humbling experience. The funeral directors were so calm and dignified, it was a really grounding experience and I left filled with true gratitude to give someone a final bunch of beautiful flowers.
