I’ll remember 2024 as my year of weddings. From pretty spring bouquets to moody dahlia’s this year has stretched the cutting garden to it’s max. Have there been sleepless nights? Yes. Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!
Growing and creating beautiful weddings for the most fabulous brides has been a joyous experience. I have welcomed Brides, their mums and daughters (and the occasional Groom) to my table. We have laughed and pondered the merits of bud vases verses jam jars. Worked out the most exquisite ribbon combinations for table settings. And fallen even deeper in love with the uniqueness of the seasons and British grown flowers.
There were times when I wondered if sticking to my values of only using seasonal British flowers was worth it. When I delivered the final wedding collections and seeing how alive they made the space and the reaction of the wedding party. I knew it was.
Each wedding I worked on was completely different. From an early Spring hotel wedding to a hot July farmhouse, a simple haircomb for an elopement to last minute bouquets. There have been flower crowns, bar transformations, celebration baskets and bouquets that turned into centrepieces – so many different ideas. What I can’t offer in volume – I can only realistically do one wedding per month in the summer. I can offer in personal service, bespoke design and styling and over enthusiasm in all things weddings. Imagine your best friend growing and creating a wedding for you – that’s me!
I have SO many photos still to edit and share with you but wanted to give you an overview today. I do have availability for 2025 weddings and would LOVE to work with you. If you are Essex based and looking for locally grown and styled flowers, I could be the one. My flowers are grown in line with the seasons and are gentle to the Earth. There is no minimum spend, so I can work upwards from a simple bouquet to a barn full of flowers if needed. You can contact me here and this post shares more about my wedding consultation process.
