Creative Living : Hanging Flower Garlands

These hanging flower garlands feel like a creative out breath. Once again my hands have been busy working on weddings. Creating these garlands out of  bits and pieces has been the wind down I’ve needed at the end of each event.

Never planned, I use what I can grab to make them. Beads from my bead box which Milly has now inherited. Raspberry coloured thread from a birthday trip to The Old Haberdashery, clay beads unfinished from Easter and a brass bell, from somewhere! All mixed together with strawflower heads that didn’t survive drying and strawflower dyed silk.

They of course serve no actual purpose but I like that. I have them hanging beside my bed which I’ve been adding more too this year. They make me smile, sometimes a touch of whimsy is all you need.

These are not my first flower garlands. I have made many over the years. I’ll pop some links below if you fancy getting creative.
