Creative Living : Monthly Quickie (floral craft) Workshops

19th March 2026

Each month I host a monthly ‘Quickie’ workshop. A Quickie is my tongue-in-cheek name for the monthly floral centred craft workshops I host either at my dining room table or under the hawthorn tree in the cutting garden. They take place the first Saturday of the month and have become an amazing source of joy.

Each month they get better and better as trust myself and my vision for these workshops. I remember when the term ‘making the everyday beautiful’ came to me. It was in the early days of my blog and I was still living at our flat. I have searched for other terms but this one has stuck and always summed up what I have wanted to do. Sharing simple ways to make the everyday beautiful. I have changed so much since my early blogging days but my passion for sharing has only got stronger. I have never wanted to ‘influence’ only encourage anyone who finds me to look at life through a beautiful lens. Never waiting for the perfect moment, I want to show the world how to find magic moments in ordinary days.

These Quickie workshops are meant to be a quick creative pause within busy lives. They serve as a reset and deep breath. What I create is space for women (mainly) to come along, relax and lose themselves in a simple activity. Not all activities need to be big events. There is a gentle defiance in choosing peace in a world so urgent, frantic and angry.

They also switch perspective on working with flowers. I am a trained product developer not florist, I look at the whole span of a flowers lifecycle; from seed to bloom and back again. Using the seasons to inform and inspire the workshops I write and host. Believing the more an ‘ordinary’ person knows about working with flowers the greater confidence they’ll have in growing their own. Which is always what I want to encourage. Personally I have found so much of myself outside, I’d really like as many people as possible to do the same.

They follow the rhythm of the seasons because when you let yourself go and lean into what nature shows us there is so much beauty to be found. Even in deepest winter. Each month teaches a new skill and inspires us to keep moving forward. I have a few people who seem timid or scared to sign up in case they don’t like the months activity.

You really have to trust the process and trust I will host a true experience for you. Quickie’s are so much more than regular workshops; they are unique, personal and one-off. You really need to be there to understand!

The workshop dates for the rest of the year are as follows, each workshop starts at 2pm, £25pp and can be booked here.

2nd May, 6th June, 4th July, 5th September, 3rd October, 7th November.

This month we made dried flower decorations. Sign up to my newsletter for the plant list and how to make.

Workshop isn’t really the right word for these sessions they’re so much more. There’s something so powerful that happens when people come together and sit to create beautiful things…

…That’s what these sessions do, they reignite your passion for creating with joy. Leave perfection at the door and just enjoy 90 minutes of being you.
