The frosts swept in quickly. Over night the flowers in the cutting garden disappeared as expected. What remained became November’s British grown flower bouquet.
It’s an unexpected mix, with tiny sunflowers hanging on making November’s bouquet quietly defiant. The colours of Strawflowers, unripe rosehips and dried Sweet Annie gives this tiny bouquet a lovely rich and textured feel, like a tapestry. Soften by the unexpected blue of Rosemary flowers which, IMO, are the very best shade of blue. Perhaps I need to add more of this shade into the garden during the summer?
Deep in wreath making, I paused to gather what I could. I am so determined to keep this monthly bouquet project going for a whole twelve months. That’s all I have for today, it’s back to mossing wreath bases and sweeping pine needles from the floor!
Until next month, enjoy!
