New Autumn Workshops

I’m SO happy to have finally sat down with the multiple calendars I live by, to bring you a gorgeous selection of  late summer, early autumn workshops. Designed to bring you the best of the season, I hope you can find the time to come and get creative with me at my table or fingers crossed in the garden.

I supply all the materials, most of which have been grown here in the garden and provide refreshments throughout. I’ve written plenty of posts about the workshops I run here in my home in Leigh-on-Sea, you can see them here .

Naturally Dyed Silk Ribbon and Dried Flower Wall Hanging

This is a two part workshop, the first section will be theory based. I’ll demonstrate how to make naturally dyed silk ribbons in your kitchen (well mine!). Then I’ll show you how to prep the fabric to hold colour and then create a basic natural dye using my homegrown florals. With your knowledge you’ll be able to go home and start creating ribbons of your own.

The second part of the workshop is the creative part. We’ll be making these beautiful wall hangings using my silk ribbons and other naturally dyed fabrics as well as my garden grown strawflowers. I’ll guide you through mixing colours and textures as well as crafting with flowers. I grow, supply and co-ordinate all the materials, so no matter what level of maker you are, the final result will be gorgeous.

We will of course be having a tour of the garden so you can see where everything is grown and hopefully be inspired to start a creative garden of your own!

Autumn Jam Jar Arrangement and Autumn Seed Sowing

Join me in the garden for a morning of Autumn seed sowing and creating a beautiful Autumn Jam Jar arrangement to take home.

I’ll be taking you in detail around the garden showing and sharing how to set up a cut flower garden, from making beds and filling with compost to the ideal planting companions.

I’ll demonstrate how I sow my seeds to get the next years crop off to a great start . I’ll also share some of my favorite varieties to get you going. Please note this will be me doing a demonstration only.

For the hands on part you’ll be making glorious jam jar arrangements full of the most gorgeous autumn blooms the garden gives us.

Just Wreaths

We’ll be making a beautiful dried flower wreath using foliage and flowers grown here in my back garden flower farm. I will show you how to mix textures and tones to create a stunning wreath that will last and look beautiful all year round.

Essential Oil Candle & Dried Flower Wreath

I’m partnering with Delmeza from Lumi Essence Aromas , for a very special workshop. Delmeza will take you through custom blending your very own essential oil candle (they smell incredible!). Then I will take you through dried flower wreath making. This is the perfect workshop for anyone wanting to bring the seasons inside with them.
