I can’t believe Christmas is just a week away – yikes! We’ve been getting cosy this weekend – frosty walks, a full battery refresh for the fairy lights and a Christmas film has given us all a time to rest and recover from a few busy weeks of Christmas activities and Christmas colds.
Due to a poorly laptop I’ve had a backlog of photos to share. It’s finally fixed – hooray – so I’m going to make the most of my new hard drive and share as much as I can from the last few weeks as quickly as I can!
Lets start with some festive floral makes…
Alongside my fresh flowers, I harvest as many dried flowers as I can to be used throughout autumn and winter for workshops and decorative makes. This year alongside my dried flower wreaths, I made wreath kits, mini wreaths, golden floral decorations, gift wrapping sets and some embroideries using up my hand dyed silk ribbons. I set up everything for a late night shopping evening at the wonderful Boni-Vee , a local hardware shop where I have been selling my flowers all year. They have looked really beautiful throughout December and I’m so glad that people are choosing to buy my locally grown flowers. The joy of seasonal flowers is they last beyond Christmas so when those decorations come down, you can keep these up to remind you that summer will come again.
There are still pieces available, so if you are passing it’s not too late to pick something up. 🙂
